The contents of the “Weekly Feature” page are provided to you for your entertainment, amusement, and perhaps information. Here you may find articles of interest, pictures, historical information on the Club, or whatever shuffles to the top of the pile on our desk. The only defined characteristic of this space is that we will make every effort to change/replace it around the middle of each week. Thank you for visiting, and please stop by again. Turkey Day by Frank Young

You’ll be up at six, ‘cause you have to fix
The finest of Holiday meals
'Round the kitchen you race, stress lining your face
The helpers ignore your appeals
The old man looks rough, and he tells you to stuff
The turkey, but not where you'd like
The kids are all yelling, or maybe rebelling
You suggest that they all take a hike
There's so much to do, and dinner's at two
So into the oven it goes
There's salad to toss, and you're still the boss
You think, as you open a Stroh's
But time is your friend, and you know in the end
Their hunger will draw them all near
You'll prey on their need, they'll beg you to feed
Them, but first just a little more beer
You're feeling just fine, and the smell is divine
From the turkey, all basted and brown
You call to the table, all those who are able
And ask one and all to sit down
Your language gets raw, as you lay down the law
Their faces now drooping with guilt
" No more free passes, for your lazy asses
Now mop up that beer that I spilt"
Not a question is heard, as you carve up the bird
And they hustle to all do their share
They've lost their compunction, for family dysfunction
Dinner's ready with moments to spare
So when you join ranks, to finally give thanks
For all that is good in your life
As you savor the bird, perhaps a kind word
To the lady holding the knife
