The Other Side of the Fence

It’s just human nature, I guess. We’re all a little curious to see how the other guy does it. Deep down, we’re probably a little afraid he might have figured out a better way, have a newer idea, a more efficient system, or whatever. Whether it’s running a business, working a farm, growing a garden or lawn, doesn’t matter, we all like to peek over that fence once in a while. We all have travelled enough to know that in different parts of the Country, people often find different methods of doing the same basic things that we all do where we live. Makes life interesting. Even though modern communication and technology has somewhat homogenized our culture, it’s still a pretty big country, and things still look a little different over that next hill, that next County line, that next State border. I figure it’s worth a look every now and then. In keeping with that philosophy, a recent very summery day was spent wandering around the venerable and respected Steam Show just across the border in Wauseon Ohio. Nice place, nice people, nice stuff. Take a look….
