Each year, the Mid Michigan Old Gas Tractor Association hosts the Rural Living Education Day, inviting fourth graders from several nearby schools to participate. This exciting day allows students to visit 24 different stations, where they learn about the tools, skills, and methods that helped rural families secure food, clothing, and shelter in the early 20th century. The program is completely free for both schools and students, and a delicious lunch is provided for all attendees. Furthermore, every student leaves with a goody bag filled with various school supplies and other donated goodies.
The success of this initiative relies on the generous contributions of time, funds, food, and supplies from our MMOGTA members, local businesses, and other community supporters, ensuring that we can keep this program accessible to all schools.
