The contents of the “Weekly Feature” page are provided to you for your entertainment, amusement, and perhaps information. Here you may find articles of interest, pictures, historical information on the Club, or whatever shuffles to the top of the pile on our desk. The only defined characteristic of this space is that we will make every effort to change/replace it around the middle of each week. Thank you for visiting, and please stop by again. FINALLY……….

At long last, I believe we can announce the passing of Winter 2010-11, as the Showgrounds returned to life on the weekend of May 21-22. Still wet, still full of mosquito’s, and shaggy with grass, the old farm welcomed the beginning of the 2011 season with a full schedule of activities. On Saturday, we hosted the joyous wedding reception for members Jeff Ziola and Bridget Wheelock, which had barely ended when the tractors returned to the stage the next morning, in preparation for the first T-Sled Pull of the season. Not one, not two, but three previously scheduled events had been rained out in April and the early part of May, making it a very welcome return to business as usual at the Showgrounds. I’m sure the rest of the summer will seem condensed with all of the upcoming events that we look forward to, given the later than normal kick-off. Even at this time, the almost daily episodes of rain have rendered much of the campground unusable and the much needed mowing and clean-up has been hindered. For us, an inconvenience, for our friends, neighbors, and fellow members who farm for a living, it’s a bit worse than that. The loyal Wednesday night work force will have their hands full for a while, so please feel free to join their ranks, there will be no trouble finding work to do.

The Showbooks have been printed, as of the 18th of May, and should be available shortly, the raffle tickets are in hand for the shiny little Massey, Memorial Day is just a week away, so we’re gonna’ go out on a limb here and announce that “Summer is Here!”

Just a few random photos below to illustrate recent events/moments/whatever .
