RURAL LIVING EDUCATION DAY
On
Friday September 27, 2019 the Mid Michigan Old Gas Tractor
Association hosted its 13th
annual Rural Living Education Day program with 583 fourth grade
students participating from several local area schools.
At
Rural Living Education Day, the students visited 24 different venues
where they learned about the machinery, skills, and processes that
provided rural families with food, clothing and shelter in the early
1900’s. New additions for the students this year were a new
Blacksmith building and we added horses and horse drawn equipment to
our venues. This program is put on at no cost to the schools or
students and includes a free lunch for all involved. Each student
also received a goody bag containing assorted school supplies and
many other donated items.
It is
through the generous donations of time, money, food, and school
supplies made by our MMOGTA members, local businesses, and other
individuals that we are able to keep this program free to the
schools.

Rural
Living Education Day would not be the success that it is without the
support we receive from each and every one of you!
