The contents of the “Weekly Feature” page are provided to you for your entertainment, amusement, and perhaps information. Here you may find articles of interest, pictures, historical information on the Club, or whatever shuffles to the top of the pile on our desk. The only defined characteristic of this space is that we will make every effort to change/replace it around the middle of each week. Thank you for visiting, and please stop by again. Global News

This week we beg your indulgence as we expand our coverage a bit beyond the confines of Oakley and Fergus. A story of this magnitude was simply too good to pass up.

At or near the beginning of April, Frank and Sandy Young, acting in concert with Jim and Kathy Golden, announced the engagement of their offspring, Jim Young and Libby Golden. After 11 years together, and in response to growing threats of physical violence and armed coercion, some jewelry was presented, and a course of events was set in motion that will culminate in the exchange of vows on a beach in Northern Michigan this July. The ceremony will be attended by immediate family, in addition to the wedding principals and their attendants. It is likely that the clink of an uplifted glass or two will echo across the blue waters of Grand Traverse Bay, as punctuation to an Irish Blessing shortly thereafter. A reception is planned in the Saginaw area for later this fall, pending arrangements.

The couple are both graduates of St Charles High School, after which Jim graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design, while Libby received her degree from SVSU. They currently reside in Grand Rapids, where Jim works as a Graphic Designer, and Libby as an Elementary School Teacher. In addition, Jim, I’m sure, credits much of his success to growing up as an MMOGTA member.

We take this opportunity to offer them our most sincere congratulations, and wish for them the brightest of futures.
