The contents of the “Weekly Feature” page are provided to you for your entertainment, amusement, and perhaps information. Here you may find articles of interest, pictures, historical information on the Club, or whatever shuffles to the top of the pile on our desk. The only defined characteristic of this space is that we will make every effort to change/replace it around the middle of each week. Thank you for visiting, and please stop by again. >> Fast Forward>>

It seems that I have scarcely finished filling this space with my endless complaints about Michigan winter weather, and suddenly we find ourselves face to face with the month of June. We’ll call it the “Fast Forward Season”, since that’s kind of how it feels. Suddenly, we already have one T-Sled pull behind us, the first outdoor meeting is in the books, the summer seasonal residents are beginning to show up at the Showgrounds, and all that time I frittered away waiting for Spring to get here, well, it’s just gone! To be fair, the calendar is on a bit of an accelerated pace this year, with an early Memorial Day and an advanced date for our Annual Auction/Swap Meet at the Showgrounds. But, here we are, at the threshold of June, and it’s time to deal with it.

We need to give extra effort toward the clean-up of the grounds with all these events approaching. There is only one Wednesday evening work bee left before we start. The first public item on the agenda is the Brady Elementary School outing, which will be on the grounds Thursday, June 4th, followed directly by the Swap Meet which begins Friday, June 5th, and the King Auction on June 6th. The month then continues with the regular meeting on June 14th, Dead Boat Pull, June 20th, and the monthly T-Sled Pull on June 21st.

As noted the auction date has been moved earlier as a result of King’s conflicted schedule. (Fran may have to serve Strawberry Blossom Shortcake) We remind you that this is a great opportunity for you to sell or buy items in the tractor, parts, and equipment categories. For information or listing, call Don King at 260-723-4378. Swap meet items will also be on sale both Friday and Saturday. The price for a vendor space is only $5. Be there early Saturday morning for the auction, which will be preceded by the pancake breakfast.

We leave you with a few pictures from last year’s sunny, busy auction day.
