Dismantling History

Thanks to the generosity of a local family, the MMOGTA has become the curator of another collection of historic farm machinery. The families of the late Harold and Millie Stewart donated the very well preserved and functional contents of an old granary that had stood its ground against the elements for many years on their farm in the Chesaning/Oakley area. A crew was dispatched near the end of last summer to remove the associated machinery and dispose of the building. Included were members Frank and Chris Tomac, Larry Jackson, Carl Ziola, James Hill and others. The grain handling devices were loaded on trailers and moved to the showgrounds, where they will one day be returned to action as part of our ever-expanding complement of resident displays.
