The contents of the “Weekly Feature” page are provided to you for your entertainment, amusement, and perhaps information. Here you may find articles of interest, pictures, historical information on the Club, or whatever shuffles to the top of the pile on our desk. The only defined characteristic of this space is that we will make every effort to change/replace it around the middle of each week. Thank you for visiting, and please stop by again. In This Corner…..

A casual glance at the calendar shocks us back to reality this week, as we notice that August is just a few short days away. Think, “PANIC”, here, as we realize that we probably should set aside the random musings that often occupy this space, and use a bit of our time to remind you of what our true mission is. That would be promoting the annual Mid Michigan Old Gas Tractor Show, which begins this year on August 15th, not that far away.

This week we poke around in a couple of the more remote corners of our show, look at some of the stuff that requires you to climb down off that People Mover, and go wandering around on your own for a bit. It’s well worth the effort, as you get a chance to see the some of the endless displays and operations that take place all weekend long here in Oakley MI. As a bonus, and we certainly encourage you to do this, you’ll get a chance to meet some of the hundreds of hard working members that make this whole big expo of ours happen each year. All of these folks will be glad to answer your questions and explain whatever device or process they may be demonstrating.

Many diverse groups exist within our club, each with their own interests and talents, which all combine to bring you a show with a little something for every demographic group. For this exercise, we’ll have a look around in the areas of the “Mill Barn”, the new 4H Log Cabin, and a couple of those early morning sunrise pictures that look so nice on the display field, before the crowds arrive. (click individual photos to enlarge, and enjoy)
