The contents of the “Weekly Feature” page are provided to you for your entertainment, amusement, and perhaps information. Here you may find articles of interest, pictures, historical information on the Club, or whatever shuffles to the top of the pile on our desk. The only defined characteristic of this space is that we will make every effort to change/replace it around the middle of each week. Thank you for visiting, and please stop by again. A Tractor Club ??

I’m sure you must have gotten the same puzzled response from people you know. How could you ever form an organization of people interested in something as obscure as old tractors? How would you get enough like-minded folks to make it work? There couldn’t possibly be enough support for something like that to become a viable organization in a rural community.

These questions came to mind as I filed away the photos from the last couple of monthly meetings we held. Mind you, this is a warm weather, outdoor-type hobby we practice, so one would think the interest would lag a bit during the endless Michigan winter. Not so in Oakley, my friends! In a world where most people have way too may things to do, and less time to do them, we have been getting attendance figures near 150 members. True, we did have free food at the March gathering, but how do you explain April? The answer, of course, is like our President often says, it’s not really a Tractor Club, it’s a people club. One big, dysfunctional family, and we have a great time whenever we get together, whether it’s to work, to eat, to play, or to plan for the future. Take a look in the mirror of some pictures of us at our last couple of meetings. Shake the wrinkles out of that MMOGTA T-Shirt and wear it with pride. If people are judged by the company they keep, we’re doing OK. (click to enlarge photos)
